Asaf Jiménez Adorno joined the firm in 2000 and has been a Partner since 2018. He specializes in Banking and Finance, Energy and Infrastructure Projects and Mergers and Acquisitions.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Asaf Jiménez has participated in financing transactions for more than 20 years, with particular focus on project finance transactions in the electricity and other infrastructure sectors, where he has represented developers, investors and financial institutions. His project practice encompasses transactions involving Federal and local public private partnerships, public works and other public procurement schemes. His M&A practice also relates mainly to transactions in the sectors mentioned before.
Asaf has substantial experience in financing transactions involving federal, state and municipal governments, providing advice to debtors, creditors and credit rating agencies.
From 2006 to 2007. he worked as a foreign associate in the projects and energy group of Clifford Chance, in Washington D.C.

RELEVANT TRANSACTIONS
- Represented the lenders in the financing of a 300 MW photovoltaic power project located in the State of Aguascalientes, Mexico. The energy to be generated will be sold to CENACE, as the electricity market clearing house, under a coverage power agreement awarded to the borrower under the third long term CENACE auctions.
- Represented the Bluemex Power 1, a Mexican subsidiary of EDF in the financing of a 90 MW photovoltaic power project located in Sonora, Mexico.
- Represented the lenders in connection with a USD$209 million to FRV Potosí Solar for the construction, development, installation, equipment, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a solar plant with a nominal capacity of 300 MW, located in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
- Represented the lenders in connection with a USD$513.4 million Senior Financing to Parque Eólico Reynosa III, for the construction, development, installation, equipment, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of a wind power generating plant with a nominal capacity of 424 MW, located in Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
- Represented Mizuho Bank as administrative agent and a group of lenders in a USD$239.8 million term loan to Energía Sierra Juarez, a subsidiary of IENova/Sempra, for the financing of a 155 MW wind power generating plant to be located in La Rumorosa, Baja California, Mexico that will supply power to San Diego Gas & Electric Company.
- Represented Mexican subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles in the purchase of two 320 MW wind farms located in the State of Oaxaca, Mexico.
- Represented a Dutch investment fund in the sale of its three mini-hydroelectric projects located in the States of Jalisco and Guerrero.
- Represented the State of Mexico in connection with a MXN$3,000 million financing from Banobras, the first financing obtained by a state of Mexico under the “Profise” program.
- Represented the Municipality of Los Cabos, Baja California, México, in the MXN$350 million loan.
- Represented the Municipality of La Paz, Baja California, México, in the MXN$122 million loan.
- Represented the ISSSTE in the preparation and implementation of the bidding process of a federal public-private association project for a hospital in the City of Merida, Yucatán.
