Luis Fernando Díaz Simón has experience in providing advice in competition and antitrust matters. He worked for 3 years in COFECE, the authority responsible for regulating the competition in Mexico, participating in several investigation processes conducted in various industries, including oil and gas, sports and public bids. 

He has experience managing the immunity program of COFECE, a mechanism for cooperation between the authority and companies seeking to admit malpractices. He was also involved in the planning, drafting and implementation of the provisions that apply to processes carried out by electronic means, participating in the first electronic appearance in the history of the commission.

Prior to joining the Firm, Luis was part of COFECE’s Investigative Authority team, where he had the opportunity to work on investigations of cartels and illegal concentrations in industries such as the energy industry and the professional football industry.
