PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Marta Loubet has more than 10 years of diverse and significant professional experience in the area of competition and antitrust, regularly assisting national and multinational companies in matters of merger control, investigations on abuse of dominance and cartels and the development and implementation of compliance programs.Her expertise is focused on energy projects, transportation, financial services, FMCG and TMT. Prior to joining the firm, Marta was part of the competition teams in Mexico City, Brussels and Paris of leading firms in the market for more than six years, after having served as a stagiaire in the DG COMP of the European Commission and the French Council of State. Admitted to practice in Madrid (and admissible in Brussels - List E) since 2011, she was admitted to practice in Mexico in 2017.Marta is part of Abogadas MX, the leading association in the promotion of gender equality in the legal sector in Mexico, and a professor (competition law) at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

RELEVANT TRANSACTIONS
- Represented individuals and companies in obtaining the antitrust approval from COFECE and IFT, for the sale of SixSigma Networks (KIO) to Mercury Data Center Holdings.
- Represented Windpoint Partners in obtaining the antitrust approval for an investment in the capital stock of Palmex Alimentos, a company engaged in the production, distribution and sale of pellets for salty snacks.
- Represented Sanfer Farma in obtaining the antitrust approval for the acquisition of Probimed in the pharmaceutical products market.
- In the TMT sector, she has obtained several merger clearances before COFECE and the IFT and has provided advice on leniency applications and behavioral investigations.
- In the financial services sector, she has provided strategic advice on mergers, has advised various economic agents in the context of COFECE’s investigations and has participated in the implementation of compliance programs.
- In the FMCG sector, she has participated in the coordination of clearance procedures for multijurisdictional concentrations, has provided strategic advice on joint ventures, has participated in internal audits and in the design of compliance programs and has notified a number of concentrations.
- In the transportation sector, she has notified complex concentrations and joint ventures in Mexico, has requested technical opinions from COFECE and has carried out audits and prepared compliance reports.
- In the Energy, Engineering and Industrial products sector, she has notified concentrations and joint ventures and has provided strategic advice to competitors of merging companies.
